**UPDATED**
The graphic has been updated. {sigh} For every month from now on, each graphic will clearly say “30 Day Photography Challenge” to keep them all the same – regardless of the current month. Want to know a little more? Keep reading!
Okay, I give.
Since I created the 30 Day Photography Challenge over a year ago, I’ve received more emails than I can count from people asking if I plan on creating more monthly challenges. Until today, my answer has been “probably not, but we’ll see”.
For the past 7 months, I’ve been more than happy to follow along with Fat Mum Slim’s monthly Instagram-based photo challenges. I started reading her blog last year when she shared my original challenge post with her readers, and I was really excited when she decided to create her own monthly lists to follow along with for every month in 2012! Each month has been filled with a variety of topics, the majority of which have been easily adaptable to my own life.
However, when the list for July was released I was pretty disappointed. I’ve spent more than a few days this month skipping topics because I simply wasn’t inspired by them. Then, when I mentioned this to a few of my friends who have also been participating I quickly realized that it seemed to be a common sentiment.
So rather than complain, I decided to take action.
I started brainstorming, asked some of my girlfriends for their input, and together we came up with this fun new 30 Day Challenge that you can use in August.
You’ll notice I kept the list at 30 days rather than 31 – that’s because I want any of the challenges I create to be 30 Days. That way they can be repeated during any month, any year {with the exception of February}.
If you’re someone that needs a prompt for a day, go with one of my all-time personal favorites and take a self-portrait!
Feel free to snag the list here – share it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or wherever your pretty little heart desires. Use the hashtag #wpphotoaday, link back to this post, tag me in your photos, or don’t bother with any of it. It really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. The only thing that should matter is that you’re able to find some fresh inspiration for your photography!
I’d love to see what you come up with for each topic! Here are a couple of places you can share your photos with me:

Happy snapping!!
{Oh, and before you ask if there will be a September list…? How about we wait and see how August goes, first!}

Just wondering what program did you use to create your list??
Hello! I just discovered the challenge you did last June. I was going to do it by myself, cause it just sounded like so much fun! And then I found this one that you’re starting in just a few days! Now I’m so excited, I can’t wait! Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into this!

I did your last challenge and pulled in some friends to do this as well! I’m in for this one!! Let’s see if they are interested too!!
I’ve loved the photo challenges at times, but I started July & then pretty much fell off the wagon…I like your prompts, though! Might have to give it a go for August!
I was enjoying those Instagram photo challenges a lot but also finding quite a bit of repetition as they went on. Taking a break was nice.
This list intrigues me, and I think I can participate. It’s definitely a challenge. Thanks for putting this together!!
Considering I start maternity leave August 1, I really have no excuse. Should be an exciting month!!
I’ll be joining you! This is great
I loved your first challenge and it was one thing that kept me sane while working on my 365. One day I’ll create my own, too!
